Access documents with the app

Use the Doc2Dr iPhone app and the built-in "touch and hold" method to open file attachments in your iPhone email.

To open an attachment with the Doc2Dr iPhone app, TOUCH & HOLD the attached file. The iPhone will display App icons that can open the attachment. Select the Doc2Dr App icon, and the Doc2Dr app will get the unique document locking code from your account. You may need to enter your Doc2Dr login, our use your touchID if you have the fingerprint feature on your iPhone (well worth it).

Use the Doc2Dr website to open file attachments.

Login to the documents page on the Doc2Dr web site using your email and password. From here you can view your DMail Messages, both sent and received. You can also compose DMail Messages.

All of your received Pages can be viewed here.

Security

Doc2Dr provides a secure platform for email (DMail) and texting (DText), as well as Billing, OpNotes, Dictations, and Paging.

Your documents are encrypted and kept on the Microsoft Azure Cloud storage platform.

This is a HIPAA compliant storage system for your medical documents.

EMR Integration

Overview

You can print your document and then incorporate it like any other FAX or snail mail document.

Or even better, forward the document to your IT staff – it’s a standard PDF document that the majority of EMRs can easily integrate.
To do that, first you will setup your Data Migrator, then you can migrate each document that you receive with one click. See the details below.

Details

Setup Your Data Migrator

Get the email address of the person who will take your electronic PDF document and integrate it into your EMR. (It's the person who scans in your FAX, makes a PDF, then integrates it into your EMR - so this will be much easier, save time, and paper).
Let’s call him Joe, and his email is joe@myoffice.com. Since Joe knows about computers, tell him to go to doc2dr.azurewebsites.net and sign up as a staff member with subtype “Data Migrator”.
On your iPhone Doc2Dr app, add a coworker as your Data Migrator:

Select Manage Users -> Manage Roles
Select + at top right, then select Add a Co-Worker to: My Staff
Joe isn’t in your list of staff to pick from yet, so Select + at top right.
Enter Joe’s name and/or email, then select 🔎 to search and see if Joe is already a member of Doc2Dr. If he is, just select him.
If he's not a member yet, you can add him. Fill in his information, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, select “Data Migrator” as his subtype. He will then get an email to create his account.
That’s it! He’s set up.

Migrating a Document Viewed in DMail

After viewing the document, just select 📤To my EMR 🖥
That’s it – ONE STEP!

Medical Specialties

Currently, Doc2Dr provides an Ob/Gyn version, and a Family Practice version of the app. The specialty versions add tools specific to your specialty. For example, the Ob/Gyn version adds a Due Date Calculator and Bishop Score Test.

Additionally, the specialty app provides pre-built surgery and procedure notes to automate your note creation and delivery.
